Nicole Heeder, Esq.
The truth about employment? Next to family, it is the most important aspect of a person’s life, her livelihood. In her practice, Nicole Heeder advocates for employees in race/ethnicity, age, disability, pregnancy, religious and gender discrimination cases, including sexual harassment and employment related torts. She also navigates through wage and hour claims, medical leave issues, and unemployment insurance appeals cases. Justice at work!
Nicole found her calling in employment discrimination law early on in her career. While earning her degree, Nicole worked toward enhancing employee rights. In her final year of law school, Nicole transitioned from advocating for employee benefits to anti-discrimination practice and took an internship with the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission. It was here that she became inspired to open a plaintiff’s employment law boutique. Following her dream, Nicole took a position with a solo practitioner and her inevitable mentor before hoisting the sails of her own practice dedicated to vindicating employee rights.
Nicole is an active member of the employment law community. As a Director of the New Lawyer Division of the San Diego County Bar Association, she encourages and enables the participation, education and professionalism of young attorneys. Closest to her heart, Nicole is a member of the California Employment Lawyers Association, where she currently serves on the CELA VOICE Project’s inaugural team, dedicated to addressing breaking news events related to employment law and/or workers’ rights. Reaching outside of the legal community, Nicole sits on the Lawyers Club of San Diego’s Community Outreach Committee, focusing on advancing the status of women.
Nicole is admitted to practice in the State Courts of California and the United States District Court for the Southern District of California.
